Kamp Pendleton Personal Training (KP) originated in San Diego, California in 1996 by Daryl Pendleton. The name Kamp Pendleton Personal Training was born after Daryl Pendleton trained clients at Camp Pendleton Marine Base in San Diego. In 1998, the successful business moved to San Francisco, California where he served over 200 clients in a three year period.

Over 50% of Mr. Pendletons clients in the Bay Area remained with him for two years. In 2001, he relocated to Columbia, South Carolina where he worked in conjunction with the Richland County and Lexington County Sheriffs departments to develop a fitness and conditioning program that brought awareness of weight management and lifestyle management to an area that had not been exposed to Kamp Pendletons training and weight management philosophy.

While in Columbia, Mr. Pendleton operated Kamp Pendleton Personal Training at Golds Gym in Lexington, South Carolina. He maintained a steady client base of 70+ clients and not only provided personal training services, but also educated his clients in nutrition, supplements and stress management. In February 2003, Kamp Pendleton Personal Training program was launched in Reston, Virginia, at Transitions/Health Club of Reston. Mr. Pendleton promoted the Kamp Pendleton training philosophy and established Kamp Pendleton Personal Training as a leader in the health and fitness industry in the Reston area. In March 2008 & March 2009, Daryl Pendleton was named Northern Virginia Magazine "Best of The Best" in the Personal Training Category.
